I Just Have To Ask You This Question.
Issue 99 — June 24, 2019
I’m wild with excitement — and fear. Yes, pure fear.
You see, we, Take The Lead that is, are going to launch a podcast, as we mark our fifth anniversary. It’s called “Take The Lead Women” because after all, that’s what we’re all about.
It’s not just any podcast, but one that will incorporate the best of our almost five years’ worth of Virtual Happy Hour interviews with accomplished women (and a couple of men), provide an audio “best of” podcast of each new monthly Virtual Happy Hour, AND as an added bonus (this is the scary part), twice monthly I’ll record fresh content from my personal trove of leadership lessons I’ve learned the hard way — on the job.
It’s the fresh content I’ll be recording that scares me. I can’t decide where to start. It’s easy to ask other people questions. But what questions would you want to ask me?
So I’m asking you to help.
Tell me (tweet @GloriaFeldt) what about your career is keeping you up at night? What leadership challenge is giving you heartburn? Are you contemplating a change or starting a business? Is your organization grappling with a leaky pipeline of women leaders? Do you need tips to deal with conflict and chaos? Are things good but you simply want to make them better?
I know you have plenty of podcasts you can choose from. So I want to be sure this one is super valuable to you. My aim is to address what’s bugging you right now and to impart “just in time” wisdom you need.
What leadership itch do you want to scratch? What are you dying to ask someone but are afraid to?
Tweet me your question or topic suggestion @GloriaFeldt and you might win a copy of my book No Excuses: 9 Ways Women Can Change How We Think About Power — along with the pleasure of being thanked and having your question become the topic of my personal podcast, Take The Lead Women with Gloria Feldt.
I start recording later this week so I’ll be checking my feed often. But don’t fret — I’ll be recording two new podcasts each month. So if you don’t get your questions to me before this weekend, send them to me whenever the spirit moves you.
The podcast will launch July 25, the same date as our 5th anniversary party in New York and silent auction that you can participate in from anywhere. It’s our gift to thank you for being part of our success. And it’s one more way we will support you to embrace your phenomenal power TO lead your dreams while we all work together for gender parity by 2025.
It’s going to be fun, once I get past the fear. Or maybe the fear is the motivator I need to aim high. Like I teach in my leadership courses, we grow our courage muscles by using them.
I’ll be checking my twitter account daily. I can’t wait to hear from you.
And starting July 25, be sure to listen to “Take The Lead Women,” available on all of your favorite podcast platforms.
Xx
Whew, now that my big fear is out on the table, I am eager to share some great photos from last week’s events in Arizona.
Have you tweeted a question or topic to me yet? @GloriaFeldt
